Celebrating One Year After an Auto-Crash Today — God's Mercy is Reeeel!!! Reeeled out to Meeee!!!

Before today, the last time I posted here was in the 19th of November, 2023. Then just about the time I was to drop my next post, my family and I embarked on a short trip, and were involved in a ghastly motor accident on the 25th of November, 2023 (exactly one year today), which was, from every indication, orchestrated to claim our lives. But miraculously, and to the glory of God, we all (my wife, my daughter, my son and I) came out of the wreckage alive.

Before now, I've been pursuing a series on the subject of the mercy of God, looking at it from the angle of God being gracious enough to show mercy (usually and especially when it is undeserved) to His people...

However, God decided to show my family and I mercy in a way I never imagined I would need. I've never imagined myself being involved in an accident, but it happened and God was there to save the day. And how He saved the day! As the car summersaulted over and over again, my son was flung out of the car. He could have landed on his head, or any such thing; but God chose to catch him, as far as I know, and then bring him down slowly and lay him down. There was no broken bones. But for the severe injuries he sustained (far more than the rest of us), which God has healed perfectly, there was no damage to any of his organs, his bones or any such thing.

So here I was, months back, posting write-ups here about the mercy of God, and then He chose to have me experience it in ways I never imagined. Great God!

Right from the crash site till we left the hospital at the end of January this year, He raised men for us. Strong hands flipped the car over on its wheels and then dragged me out, unconscious. My son, who was lying in the middle of the road at the other lane, far away from the crash, conscious and praying and looking out for oncoming vehicles, and calling out for us, was later found by his bleeding sister who never stopped looking for him, and informed people who went to fetch him and brought him closer. His back, which was split open with his spinal cord visible looked like a hopeless case, but God used the hands of a theatre nurse in a nearby hospital to miraculously stitch him back together. And then, when the wound became infected and broke open again, there were experts, experienced hands, working on him, expressing gladness it broke open so the infection can be treated, giving us hope, and doing all they can for my boy. Then three major surgeries later (including a plastic surgery or skin grafting), we are all alive and back to our home, telling the story!

All the while we were in the hospital, God didn't abandon us. He raised men to support us in cash and in kind. He also went on to have our car replaced with a better one. Talk about the mercy of God!

I've truly only ended up scratching the surface, but I hope I have given you a glimpse of the mercy of God. There are people who go through far less situations and they are no more; but mercy spoke for me and for my family.

Now, are you still pursuing a life of sin? Are you still sexually involved with someone you are not married to, instead of pursuing to know this God (more)? I adjure you to surrender to Him now, and find solace in His love. Scripture says He will abundantly pardon. His mercy can speak for you also and give you an inheritance far beyond your wildest imagination.

I've been waiting for today to make a comeback, and I can tell you that I'm fully back now on this page, praise God. Expect more contents coming your way, so keep checking in. God bless you!
