Living the God-Life in Your Relationship

By now, you should know that there is a life God has designed for you to live, if you must enjoy your relationship and watch it blossom into marriage. So, in today’s post, I’d like to discuss the basic,

which has become more like a crude, archaic, ‘old-school’ expression, as far as this generation is concerned: be born again.

This is the first step you must take if you must be in charge of your sexuality. As old fashioned as the term ‘born again’ may sound to you, and many others, it is still the Number One way out of this world of sin. Well, you need to hear it again: to be born again is to consciously accept the lordship of Jesus over your life; to hand over the reins of your life to Him. To be born again has to do with you consciously and deliberately deciding to forgo the life of sin and living your life totally for Jesus on a daily basis. Yes, it does not mean a second physical birth, like Nicodemus thought, but a spiritual rebirth, as Jesus explained in John 3.

Jesus is the only One Who can erase all your sins and give you a new life. He is the only One Who can reconcile you back to God. When you come to Him with all your cares, He makes His grace available to you to live for Him. 

Thus, the term means the act in which the Holy Spirit gives eternal life to a willing person who has been hitherto dead to sin. Consider the following Scriptures:

Jesus replied, “I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3, New Living Translation).

 

For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed (Romans 10:9-11, New Living Translation). 

So do not believe the lie that you have committed so many sins that even God cannot forgive you. It is the reason Jesus came to die. YOU are the reason Jesus came to die. He will give you a new life if you come to Him with sincerity of heart. No one can become born again without the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Then, when you eventually become born again, the Holy Spirit takes position in your life to fill up your entire being and to begin to guide you in all your ways.

Confess and renounce that sin now, and trust Him to forgive you, as you begin a new life with Him.
